Hosting
So, what is Hosting? Hosts are knowledgeable, loving, and supportive ordinary 'every-day' people who dedicate their time voluntarily to help others in their community whose lives are affected by Sensory Processing Disorder. We are not 'miracle' men or women. Most of us are not doctors or even occupational therapists, but we have all been affected by Sensory Processing Disorder in some way. We all know what it's like to be where you are right now, and we all are wanting to help you out, as best we can.
SPD Parent S.H.A.R.E.
Tradiionally set up for parents of SPD children to help others in a similar situation, SPD Parent S.H.A.R.E. is now accepting adult members to help support other adults, professionals, and/or parents. It is our primary mode for adults to become Hosts in the SPD community. There's no fee, no required donation.
All you have to do is apply, and be willing and ready to advocate for the SPD cause in your community, or throughout the web. There's no need to push yourself outside of what you feel comfortable with. We just want people who are willing to share and help support others in person or online.
If you are interested, please swing by our sister site, SPD Parent S.H.A.R.E. and fill out the Host Application. Within a few days (typically), you should then receive an email from me, Dan Travis. We would love to have you on board! Thank you for your consideration.
